Honoring a Local Hero: Remembering Scott Grant’s Lifelong Service to Pasco County

Santa Claus Charities (Scotty D Charities) joins the Pasco County community in honoring the life and legacy of Scott Grant, a dedicated public servant whose impact was felt both in law enforcement and throughout countless families in our region.

Scott spent more than 30 years serving in law enforcement, including his time with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, where he built a reputation as a committed deputy, instructor, and mentor. He helped train future generations of officers while consistently leading with integrity, compassion, and a deep respect for the community he served.

After retiring from law enforcement in 2016, Scott continued his mission of service in a new and deeply meaningful way. Alongside his wife, Jackie, he became known for bringing joy to children and families as Santa Claus during the holiday season. What began as small community visits quickly grew into a powerful outreach effort, including visits to hospitals, children’s medical centers, and nonprofit organizations across the Tampa Bay region.

Even during his battle with cancer, Scott remained committed to showing up for others whenever he could. His resilience, kindness, and dedication to uplifting children and families left a lasting impression on everyone who met him.

Scott’s passing has deeply affected the Pasco County community, where he is remembered not only for his years of service, but for the heart he brought to every role he held. His legacy continues through the lives he touched, the families he comforted, and the example he set for what it means to serve others selflessly.

Santa Claus Charities is honored to recognize Scott Grant’s life and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
