With a 3.79 GPA and plans to attend Southeastern University, Ruth’s story reflects resilience, cultural identity, and a deep commitment to service. Inspired by her volunteer work and family values, she aspires to build a future nonprofit focused on combating hunger and homelessness while empowering underserved communities.
James “JR” Hill Awarded the 2026 Scott Grant Memorial Criminal Justice Scholarship
James “JR” Hill of Cypress Creek High School has been awarded the 2026 Scott Grant Memorial Scholarship. Presented in partnership with the Sean Bartell Memorial Foundation, the $1,000 award recognizes students pursuing careers in criminal justice. JR will attend Saint Leo University, where he plans to continue his education and commitment to serving his community.
