Remembering Scott Grant: A Life of Service, Compassion, and Community Impact

Some people leave a lasting mark not only through their careers, but through the way they show up for others in everyday life. Scott Grant was one of those people.

For more than 30 years, Scott served in law enforcement in Pasco County, Florida, dedicating his career to protecting and training others in the field. But those who knew him best say his impact went far beyond his badge. He was known for his steady compassion, his commitment to helping others, and the genuine care he brought into every interaction.

After retiring from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office in 2016, Scott continued serving his community in a very different but equally meaningful way. Alongside his wife, Jackie, he stepped into the role of Santa Claus—bringing joy, comfort, and hope to children and families across the region. From hospital visits to nonprofit partnerships, Scott and Jackie used that role to brighten some of life’s hardest moments for children facing illness or hardship.

Even while battling cancer, Scott continued showing up for others. His story is one of resilience, generosity, and a lifelong commitment to service in all its forms.
